I was recently interviewed by Megan Scott of the Associated Press. The AP partnered in a recent poll on people’s view toward pets and their role in the family. Many of us know this intrinsically, but about half of those polled believe animals are a full and essential part of the family. Dr. Kristen Nelson grew up on a farm in Watertown, Minn., where she developed a deep love for animals of all kinds. She received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine.
